Air France
- A small number of Air France pilots have called for a
strike from November 24-27 in an effort to bring attention to flight safety
measures and worsening work conditions. This strikes are unrelated to the strikes occurring
among civil servants and railway workers across France. No further information
is currently
available.

Airport and Houston George Bush Intercontinental
Airport.

Feb. 16. Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines will operate the flights on

the fuel surcharge from $50 to $62 for all flights from Japan to Guam,

record-high cost of petroleum for the fee
hike.

Airport/Destination News
Naples,
Italy - Naples has taken its smoking ban outdoors, forbidding lighting
up in public parks and during demonstrations and cultural events if children or
pregnant women are nearby. Violators risk fines from $40-$370, according to a
city ordinance that went into effect Nov. 17. Already, smoking in Naples — like
the rest of Italy — is banned in restaurants, offices and other closed public
places like airports. Naples decided to expand its ban outside because health
officials recently reported that the death rate of victims from respiratory
illness and lung cancer was "significantly" higher in Naples than the rest of
the country, according to the
ordinance.
