Washington DC –– RADIUS – the global travel company announced today the formation of a new management structure around the creation of the executive vice president role that was just filled by Vicky Fernandez de Larrea. Responding to the need to answer to client opportunities, combined with developing and implementing a strategy that builds on current successes and client growth, RADIUS is consolidating the shareholder operations, multinational corporate sales and account management teams under Ms. Fernandez. With 90 shareholder travel management companies operating 4,900 branch locations in 80 countries to produce USD 19.7 billion in sales, RADIUS is one of the largest travel management companies in the world.

The operation of the global network is managed by regional vice presidents Peter Hvidberg for Europe & Africa; Stuart Wines for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East; Maura Allen for North America; and Carlos O. Gómez for Latin America. The regional vice presidents serve as the primary liaison/account manager between RADIUS and its shareholder travel management companies. In addition, Gómez has recently taken on responsibility for multinational corporate sales for Latin America. Allen, whose title also includes Shareholder Operations, formalizes her current role in central company projects and will be working on new initiatives to increase shareholder value globally.

The multinational corporate sales team works with potential and existing corporate clients to consolidate travel management programs on a multinational, regional or global basis. It is headed up by senior vice president Keith Haynes and in addition to Gómez for Latin America, consists of Kieran Hartwell, VP, Multinational Corporate Sales, EMEA; Natasha Brawn, VP, multinational corporate sales, Asia Pacific; and account director Nigel Snowden.

Ms. Fernandez offered: “I am very confident that RADIUS has the right players in place to embrace their roles as champions for both our shareholder travel companies and their corporate clients. Based on our successes, they clearly work very well together exceeding their respective client’s quality and performance expectations. Having said that, our strong growth is creating more opportunities and we intend to aggressively draw on our momentum with this dynamic group of professionals.”

Ms. Fernandez represents these critical functions of the company on the RADIUS corporate Executive Management Team, which reports directly to the president and CEO Tony Hughes. The Executive Management Team works with Hughes and the RADIUS Board of Directors to set the strategic direction for the organization. Other members of the team are Allan Slan, EVP; Jay Richmond, CIO; Maria Udy, VP, global marketing & branding; Vicki Edouard, financial controller; and Katy D. Morgan, human resources manager. Hughes offered: “The Board and I have tremendous trust in this management team. Under their leadership, RADIUS is better positioned to grow in stature and market share.
