Travel Careers Institute was founded in 1979 as a division of Travel and Transport for the purpose of providing professional training for individuals interested in travel industry careers. Our comprehensive curriculum gives future travel industry personnel a broad knowledge and inspires high standards of professionalism. Our goal is to provide travel industry employers with well-trained, qualified graduates. Travel Careers Institute is proud to be licensed and accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education.
The Travel Careers Institute coursework provides training in booking air, car, hotel, and train reservations in either of two reservation training systems (Sabre or Apollo); researching and selling leisure vacation packages; and making international travel reservations. It also includes instruction on obtaining employment in the field after your studies are complete. |
Once you are trained, you will be eligible for employment at:

- Car rental companies
- And many other travel related services
Home Study Program
We understand that people have very busy lifestyles. That is why we have developed our education program as a home study program in which you work for a travel certificate on your own time. Within one year, you will be introduced to several travel components that will provide you with the education and guidance you need to successfully enter the travel industry.
At the completion of the one year course, a certificate of completion will be issued to students with an average grade of 80% or better. Travel Careers Institute will maintain transcripts certifying the student performance.
